Andrea Piccini is ready to get back on track for the italian round, the second of the season, of Michelin Le Mans Cup on the Monza circuit after the third place achieved one month ago at Le Castellet, together with Claudio Schiavoni on Ferrari 488 GT3 (Kessel Racing). On the “Temple of Speed”, the Kessel Racing duo is looking for confirmation of the positive performance of Paul Ricard. On Wednesday 9 May, the protagonists of the Michelin Le Mans Cup have supported the preparation tests in view of the challenge on Saturday 12 and also in this case we can talk about a promising start: “We were the fastest throughout the day – said Andrea Piccini – and in the morning I made the best time, while in the afternoon the best was that of my brother Giacomo, a teammate in Kessel Racing but an opponent in the race; he and Sergio Pianezzola, with whom he shares the other Ferrari 488, have won in France and are currently the opponents to beat. Claudio Schiavoni also worked well in the tests, working both in terms of qualifying and the race pace. Immediately after the conclusion of the tests it started to rain, but according to forecasts, the bad weather should be avoided for the race weekend“. The program of the weekend in Monza will start on Friday 11 May with the two free practice sessions from 10.30 to 11.30 and from 15 to 16, while Saturday 12 will take place from 11.45 to 12 and 16 will be given the start of the race duration of two hours.
