The Marc VDS Racing Team will enter three BMW Z4 GT3 cars in the 24 Hours of Spa. Alongside the two full time Blancpain Endurance Series entries, a third car will bolster the team's hopes and signals intent to take glory at Belgium's premier endurance event. The #3 machine will be crewed by Bas Leinders, Maxime Martin and Yelmer Buurman. In #4 Markus Palttala and Henri Moser will be rejoined by Nick Catsburg, who sat out the Paul Ricard round of the series to allow recovery time for a collarbone injury. The driving squad for the third car, #14, will be composed by Andrea Piccini, Jorg Muller and Jens Klingman. Bas Leinders, Team Principal: "I'm very excited to add this extra car to our squad for Spa, and we're working hard to make sure the line up is extremely competitive – if it wasn't, we wouldn't be entering the car. It's a race we are desperate to win. It's a favourite with the team, the drivers, the fans and, of course, Marc van der Straten, so it's hugely important for us. We showed at Paul Ricard we've not lost our winning edge, and I'm looking forward to challenging for more 24 hour success to add to the podium we achieved at the Nürburgring."
