FIA GT Championship

The FIA GT Championship is undoubtedly the most important event in the world for saloon cars; some of the most beautiful and best perfoming cars available on the market - although they undergo some adjustments to become suitable for a race track - take part in it.

Two clesses are allowed:

GT1: Higly modified, production-based, two wheel drive Grand Touring cars have horsepower capabilities around 600 and top speeds over 180 mph and a minimum weight of 1100 kgs.
Gt1s include Aston Martin DBR9, Maserati MC12, Ferrari 575 Maranello, Saleen S7R, Corvette C6, Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT.

GT2: Moderately modified, production-based, two wheel drive cars can reach speeds around 180 mph with horsepower capacities around 500 and a minimum weight of 1100 kgs.
GT2s include Ferrari 430 and Porsche 996 RSR.

The races, with a time of two hours (except the 24 hours of Spa), are undertaken with two or three drivers relaying each other during two mandatory pit stops.
