During the morning, running on used tyres, the team Phoenix car lapped in 2m 08s, a timing that put the Italian and the German drivers in 18th position, while in the afternoon a test with new tyres gave its first significant results: 2m 05.762s, a lap time only 840 milliseconds higher than the overall best, belonging to the Lamborghini driven by Daniel and Zonta. The very same Ricardo Zonta, Brazilian driver that raced in Formula 1. And the Lamborghinis were the leaders of the day, with the car driven by Kox and Haase coming in second, with a lap time of 2m 05.077s.
Encouraging feedback, therefore, for Piccini and Hennerici, who are faithful that they will be able to profit fro the Saturday race as well, which is preparatory for the actual Race. Qualifying will take place between 10:45 and 11:45, while the Qualifying Race will begin at 17:30. The latter assigns points only for the first three positions and determines the starting grid for the actual Race, which will take place on Sunday, starting at 14:15, and will last 60 minutes.
