The 2008 season of the FIA GT Championship got off to an amazing start with an action-packed two-hour race at Silverstone, where low temperature, rain and fog mixed up the cards for the whole weekend.

Andrea raced at Silverstone together with Jos Menten; they finisched 11th after a difficult race started under the rain and finsched on damp conditions.

<<We knew that would have been a difficult race for us - Andrea said. For the RBImmo\B-Racing Team that first race is been mostly a test to understand the level of the other teams and drivers and what we need to improve on the car.
For sure the conditions didn't help us; it's difficult for everybody when the conditions are always changing, but especially for the ones that really need to do a lot of km to set up the car like us.
Starting in the rain and fog, with conditions improving gradually, tyre choice –and the time to change to intermediates and then slicks - became vitally important.
It's been a positive result to get to the end of the race with no problems on the car and now, with the testing we already scheduled we look forward to next race in Monza where we will start for sure with a lot more experience on the car>>.
